Renew Your Hair This Season With Pantene February 6, 2010
I love having long pelo, but it’s a royal pain in the nalgas in the winter–well, to think of it, it’s also a pain in the summer but for different reasons. Seriously! In the winter it gets dry. It gets flat. It looks dull. Every year around this time, when all you can think about is when la primavera is coming, I just want to cut mi pelo all off. But I have to say this year has been a lot better. I switched my regular shampoo and conditioner for moisturizing types and decreased washings and mi pelo has never looked better. I’ve been washing about twice a week and using a little dry shampoo in between and it’s been great–plus it saves a lot of time and agua.
I was having these deep thoughts when I got an email from one of my PR amigos about Pantene and its Moisture Renewal line, which moisturizes el pelo and helps repair damage. It does this with pro-vitamins that help provide protection from styling damage and split ends due to combing. What’s nice about this formulation is that it locks in moisture every time you wash. So, if you’re having hair woes, you might want to switch to a shampoo and conditioner like Pantene’s or simply look for one that says “moisture” on the label.
Here are some more tips on how to keep hair woes to a minimum during the winter months. And if you’re an Español-speaking chica, check out the video below for more consejos.
- Rinse el pelo thoroughly with the coldest agua you can manage to wash away residue, which can make hair flat, dull and hard to manage.
- Regular conditioning keeps the hair shaft moisturized and flexible, and the cuticle layer smooth so condition the entire strand, working conditioner from tips to roots.
- Blow-dry hair at low heat and air flow to help minimize damage from heat styling.
- Point the blow-dryer’s nozzle down, instead of whirling it like a lasso, and move from root to tip to flatten the cuticle for a smooth and shiny look.
