Sensationally Shiny Lips With New Maybelline Gloss February 5, 2010

Lip gloss fans are gonna loooove the new Maybelline Shine Sensational Lip Gloss line.  This new line gives labios a wash of color that leaves them looking as juicy as they smell.

This line reminds me of the Lip Smackers I used to be obsessed about in school because of the delicioso fruity smell and nice taste.  However, the Maybelline line has a touch of sophistication in the color selection that I just adore–and at about $6 you can get as many as your corazón desires!   Shades/flavors include Watermelon Punch (mi preferido), Peach Sorbet, Cherry Kiss, Cherry Bloom, Berry Bella, Cranberry Crave, Mad About Melon and Crazy For Caramel as well as an additional 10 colors.

In addition to an excellent range of colors–think shimmering, clear and translucent colored shades–the gloss also spreads nicely on los labios.  The gloss also has lasting power and leaves los labios looking very glossy without leaving them tacky–actually it leaves los labios super slick but in a good way.

Maybelline Shine Sensational Lip Glosses are sold at Target and drugstores nationwide like DuanneReade for $5.99.

I love lipgloss! I use Stila but is too expensive, I’m going to try Maybelline.
Great post!

Thanks for the review! Are they at all sticky? And does the color last throughout the day? I’ve tried some glosses that make my lips look more pale than they are, some kind of pigment problem I think!

none at all…it has a smooth finish–like silicone but in a good way. It gives a wash of color to your natural lip color that’s just pretty…I don’t think it’s formulated as a long lasting gloss but as far as lip glosses go, the Maybelline one lasts a long time. :)

thanks! I’m a lip gloss addict myself and fan of the Stila glosses. The Maybelline ones are a little heavier than Stila but really good. If you like Stila you might also like the CoverGirl Shineblast.
